Personal photos from my Navy career and some photos from internet. This video was made with the In the Navy song but had to be changed to a YouTube song. It's not as funny this way as previously planned.

  • 00:39 Holy shit were you stationed at Pt. Mugu Sr. Chief!?

  • @NForcerSA Me playing softball was at SHAPE in Mons, Belgium at the 00:39 mark. There from 77-81. Never west of Chicago Great Lakes for any type duty. Always East Coast or Europe for me. Sorry. LOL

  • Thanks for sharing and especially for serving in protecting our freedom. Your photos remind me of my brothers Navy days, he's since retired as a chief back in 1993 after serving 23 years and I did my 6 years in the Navy starting back in 1983 finishing as a Radioman 3rd Class. God Bless and hope your years after retirement have been smooth sailing.

  • @angini63 I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It went along better with the Village People's In the Navy song but that didn't fly on Y/T because of copyright laws. Thank you also for your service to our country and God bless. Jim :)

  • You did it! It works well with this tune, also. Nice job, Jim, great photos.

  • That's a great video! I've seen that one at 2:45 before - I guess from another one. I'll bet this is one of your favorites.

  • @804CardMagic Communications Technician (Intelligence) That is a very good rating. I was a yeoman and managed only 2 ships in 27 years of duty. YN's like CT's get some pretty good duty stations. CT's go all over the world. Maybe they'll train you in a foreign language while in school or after. We had CT's on the Eisenhower but they kept to themselves. We called them the spooks. Again, good luck and smooth sailing. Jim

  • @804CardMagic Good luck to you. I went in thinking I'd just do my 4 yrs and get out but I actually enjoyed it and then they offered me Italy to reenlist and went on from there. Pay attention and go as high as you can in rank. Remember, you always have th GI Bill for college afterwards. Once you get past boot camp, everything else is fine. Take care and God bless. Jim
