http://hometips.gregvan.com/contractors.htm One of the worst types of personalities to do business with is an arrogant or pushy person. If you're a contractor working for a homeowner or client who tries to push you around or make you feel stupid, try to get through the job with as few problems as possible and then don't ever work for these people again. I don't like dealing with arrogant contractors or homeowners and usually put them in their place early on. I don't take much crap from anyone and usually don't get along with these types of people. If you find yourself in a position where you don't want to work for someone, try to get out of your contract. Most of the time, pushy homeowners are looking for contractors that they can push around, they're not looking for other aggressive contractors. If you're going to stay in the construction business as a contractor, you're going to need to learn how to read certain types of personalities and figure out which ones you work best with and find more of that type of person. Eliminate the problems from your life and your life will get better.

  • Hello... bud... great vid... however, you'd do better if Marina from 'Hot for words' did yer into's..and a few interim shots.

This advice you give, is not found in books or classrooms but its way more than vital information for any contractor.

I get a mere 10% in advance, then 75%!! when I deliver the materials..on a three day contract.. Second day is for cashing the check. then I finish. If they get nasty I can leave without loss
