@gotsda A empire should be judged by it history and its place in history in the entire world of history. In this the Ottoman empire is perhaps one of the Empires that made the world as it is today. One can not say otherwise it was one of the grand powers. Tell me do we view Spain as a failure cause it last its lands and money? I find myself saying "no" if they ever did become such a power at any point then we can in my view look at teh inpact they had on history.

@fargonbastedge looks like they would have still been better off under the British than they are now n this also applies to Cyprus life was peaceful n good under the British my late grandmother told her her mother n father took her t Limassol to welcome the British after they took Cyprus from the turks n they used to call them blonde angels yet after less than 100 years wanted the British out n they paid the price for it

@Rico8458 More like the other way around. Muslims and hinduis were untied under the British empire. Imperialism is what united them. Now they fight each other.

@MJ4everTheKing Yeah pushed less than a mile in 9 months, while the British lacked supplies and the Turks occupied the high ground.

Moreover, they STILL lost their empire what achievements.

@orhun20 so much of the map was rearranged in ww one. new book The Sorrow and the Beauty.....they are in a way refighting that war on the world state right now.

this documentary is to educate new generation, not for argumental purposes !!! lot of people died during the first world war so lets show our respect for the dead and take a lesson from previous 2ww and hope never to happen again.

The Ottoman Empire held their side up and more. If Germany hadnt lost on the Western Front, then Turkey would have held on to the Ottoman Empire and expanded it.  The Turkish Army fought well.
