  • Just a fun fact.... that aerator(sp?) tip you are talking about is actually a one way valve. it allows the whisky to come out but nothing can be poured back in. It helps let customers at the bar know they are getting the real deal and nothing has been changed or watered down.

  • @cartmansrevenge Cool, learn something new every day!

  • I used to drink Jim Beam, then, Knob Creek, now Makers Mark, but when I have the extra funds, LOVE Basil Haydens, (it's smoother than silk). Bookers is for slow sipping on the porch. For scotch JW BLUE is outstanding. Your vid is causing me to want a drinkLOL !!!

  • @Alwayscarry1 I've tried JW Blue, and maybe I don't have the developed palette, but it was lost on me. I couldn't taste much of a difference for the hefty price. I'll have to look into the Basil Haydens. Have you tried Balvenie? It's pretty good, but pricy.

  • A friend had a bottle of 30 yr. Balvenie & I tried a sip. Very good until he told me the price($300+) So I'll stick to the Burbon(23-48$per bottle). If I ever get a camera, I'll start making vids on guns & burbonetc. etc.

  • @ravenbones1 That is sweet. My fingers will be bleeding soon, I'm signing up on all their sites

  • @martinitime1975 last year makers mark sent me christmas wrapping paper with little bottles all over it, this year they sent a little sweater that fits over the bottle LOL

  • @ravenbones1 Thanks a bunch, I hadn't thought of that.

  • I would suggest you start hitting the distillery websites and signing up for their emails. I get tasting tips, coupons, free gifts, and sometimes even invites to private tastings. Last year I went to one done by Johnny Walker. It was held in a very prestigious private club and included the complete history of whisky and scotch making, followed by tasting of each of the company's brands !!!!
