Wouldn't it be more "organic" to just let it stay there? I mean, even growing citrus is polluting. Rust isn't any harmful to nothing...

not citric acid again

DOES NOT WORK.

so does it neutralize the rust? or does it remove it...you've said two very different things.

I use phosphoric acid for quick removal but with some etching or longer (2-3 weeks) molasses diluted with water which leaves metal untouched .
Fine print " molasses does not work well under 18oC"

I've been accumulating rust stains on my driveway for 11 years. I've tried CLR, bleach, detergent, every product from Home Depot and Lowes. Nothing even budged the rust spots.
I got a bottle of Rusterizer yesterday and it works really good. I was actually amazed. You spray it on and the rust vanishes in front of your eyes in like 15 seconds. Then rinsed off with hose. Then I went around getting rid of rust everywhere.
It's not cheap stuff but don't bother with all the other stuff out there.

Okay thanks so much...I have purchased Singermans Concrete Ruse product also and hope to use it soon...they say if you don't wash all the gel off it might stain white...so this removes the rust--did you have to do it multiple times?

I couldn't get it to work at all.
Dunno.
They did refund me my $ without any problems.
I bought "Concrete Rust Removal" product and it worked much better, although it did leave some whitish staining. (a lot better then rustish ones, lol).
Need to wait for warm weather to finish the rest of the driveway.
If you put this music on loud enough, the rust comes off voluntarily with spraying anything...
