The AIESEC Global Internship Program is the defining element of the AIESEC
experience providing you the opportunity to live and work in a
foreign country.

It is the most intense learning experience that we offer and it links together our global network.

The whole AIESEC network focuses on increasing the number of high quality traineeship experiences.

Through our Global Internship Program, we offer over 4.400 members a year the opportunity to have a practical professional experience in a foreign country. The challenge of living and working abroad provides an incredible learning experience.

The strength of our network, membership, and organizational support rests with exchange. Everyone in AIESEC is connected through exchange. We can link almost all of our local work directly or indirectly to increasing the quality and quantity of exchanges that we provide.

It is also the primary reason for which most organizations partner with us and for which our thousands of members communicate with each other on a daily basis.

Steps of a traineeship:
1 - Selection and Application
After joining and understanding AIESEC you can enter a review process to assess your experiences and motivation for doing an AIESEC exchange.

2 - Preparation
AIESEC provides resources, trainings and support to prepare you to live and work in another country. This includes visa processing.

3 - Matching
You will be trained and given access to use our on-line database of jobs. The more flexible you are the better.

4- Integration
AIESEC members in your host chapter provide support and assistance in getting setup while providing opportunities for cultural and social activities.

5 - Re-Integration
AIESEC supports you in making the readjustment process when you return home.

Types of Exchanges:
- Management Internships
These are related to administration, finance, accounting, marketing, project management and HR.

- Development Internships
Usually they are with NGOs and in most of the cases relate to wide variety of issues in community development.

- Technical Internships
Relate to management and development in web, software, networks, and databases, plus some engineering.

- Educational Internships
Relate to promotion, curriculum development, teaching, and counseling in education sector.
