@Lachdenan Fair enough. However, you can not ignore the fact that Western societies are essentially patriarchal. It is the rule of thumb, a saying that is far too common, which has disturbing origins, that continues to trouble my mind.

Well, that may be true, but the men in a mining town were also MINING. This underscores that we should not have a feminist movement only concerned with women, but that humans, men and women, should be looking out for the problems of each gender. No masculinism. No feminism. Just respect.
