Here is a quick onboard video of the brand new KSRC 3.0 from King Motor. I must say that im very impressed with this buggy, i've only just finished breaking in and this was the first real speed run i've done. The engine is still really tight and it needs tuning, but i can already feel how fast this thing is going to be!
The extensive amount of aluminium on this buggy means that it's really strong, however, the plastic used on the King Motor buggies is very brittle, especially in this cold weather, and if you give it a good enough smack, it breaks quite easily (you'll see this in the video). You have two options, replace with aluminium, or replace with HPI parts, i opted for the latter. Whilst aluminium is good, you need some weak parts on the buggy to prevent all the energy from a crash being directed towards servos and engine mounts. It's all about controlling the damage and trying to prevent damage of more expensive parts.
The second bad thing about this buggy is the radio gear. Seriously, just throw it away, before it causes an accident. I upgraded to a Spektrum DX3S, along with a Spektrum sports servo for the throttle/brake and a bluebird high torque servo for the steering, honestly, it's 100x better than the crap KM put in it.
One thing to note about KM cars, they are not equal from vendor to vendor. For instance, the KSRC001 sold by kingmotorrc in the US comes with a 15 model memory digital radio, 30kg-cm servo, alloy diff with hardened gears, aluminum clutch housing, and 3000mah battery for $480 vs the 400 British pound Rcmodelz KSRC001 which comes with non of that. I bought the 002 with 2-speed, cloned DDM Dom pipe, and 30.5cc engine.

@redrex3 That's true, the US version comes with piggy back shocks and anti roll bars. However it also comes with an inferior exhaust to the one sold in the UK and that is obviously a very important part of the cars performance. I can always buy the shock caps and roll bars, it's cheaper to buy them than an exhaust, but thanks for pointing that out :)

Great video mate,I'm thinking of buying this model. Know the cheapest place?
Thanks.

@FrapsChannel Hey thanks a lot. To be honest there's not much variance in price no matter where you get one from. I bought mine from rcmodelz and a friend bought his from the states, worked out roughly the same. I decided to buy mine over here due to the fact that if anything was wrong with it I had somewhere I could take it back to.
One word of advice, check all of the screws and bearings, my model came with a missing bearing in the steering wiper arm, also make sure the screws are tight!
