@parisavenue111 We are missing the forest for the trees! The moment one claims his/her God is superior to somebody else's or that his/her worship is the only correct form that very moment the sanctity of prayer is lost. So whether Krishna, Christ, Devi, Allah is the Supreme Almighty hardly matters what matters is are you happy with your favourite form and let others decide for themselves.
Truth is one. Sages call it by different names— Rig Veda (c. 4000 BC)

"But modern Hinduism (ISKCON, Sai Baba etc) is becoming like a cult"
- This statement is not true about Sai Baba. In the Sai organization we welcome everyone of all faith, race and countries. We pray to all forms by singing bhajans about every form of God known to mankind. Sai has said that everyone can pray to their own favorite form of God.

I think The Devi should have an AK-47 rather than a sword, but the sword is indeed fearsome and totally bad ass as well. Namaste oh Almighty Devi, Godess of both Wrath and Infinite Compassion.

@DaGizza reg iskcon, i am a bit disappointed with them - it seems they just replaced christ with Krishna. Can't understand how the founder, who is a HIndu, lost control over the teachings or maybe he was just that - rejecting other Hindu Gods & accepting only Krishna. I wouldn't go as far as calling them a cult though. Cults are: 1. We are special, only we are going to heaven 2. Everyone else is going to hell - i don't think they have gone that far.

@parisavenue111 Sadly we have become Book-Worshippers, blindly believing whatever is written in a book. Let's see a God who created this massive universe with countless stars & galaxies, billions of life forms has but one name? Didn't Krishna once say that all names are his & he will answer to any name? What name did Gajendra the elephant, call out when he was in trouble?

@ramaraksha01 You need to read the scriptures like Srimad Bhagvatam, Devi Puran to understand the different forms of God.. It is clearly mentioned in the scriptures that Krishna in his personal form (the blue boy) is Supreme. The formless part is called Brahman which is Krishna's energy..formless.. they are both equal in sense that Energy(Brahman) and Energetic (from whom energy comes) exist simultaneously.
-
@parisavenue111 To me it says we must see God everywhere in any form. The muslims got it right when they said God is formless, but we Hindus also arrived at the same place when we say God could be in any form.

@ramaraksha01 well if you read the scriptures you will see that they are one but different at sametime... Durga, lord Shiva are energies of Krishna. but sometimes they are callone in the sense that the love and the beloved are one...
lovely clip.. Jai Mata Di

@ramaraksha01 I agree completely. In my opinion there are two types of religions. Cult religions (like most types of Christianity and Islam) and religions which are a way of life or philosophy, like Hinduism. You can believe in whatever form of God, you can believe in more than one God or even be atheist. You can say Ram or Krishna are Gods or just ideal humans. "There is One Truth, which sages know by many names" (Rig Ved)
But modern Hinduism (ISKCON, Sai Baba, etc) is becoming like a cult :(
