Awesome work! I recently travelled across the USA and stopped in Chicago for a few days. I made a trip up to Northbrook, sat in a bar and raised a glass to John Hughes. Greetings from the UK!

Nobody is speaking to the young people today in the right way, we are simply consumers to be exposed to adverts, because for them we are just buyers of I phones, clothes and other products. Nobody f....g cares for our souls, nobody cares for what we have to tell, well once upon the time John did!!! He made his films talks to us, entertain and educate us, now we have f....g Jersey Shore and f....g Paully D...

For the risk of sounding nostalgic and of falling to that trap where all from the past was better i still think that 80's was the last years that hade humanity and some innocence, somewhere down the road we just lost it. I'm not saying that this times doesn't have great movies and even greater tv shows, because they do,but something is missing. They are perceptive an brutal in their views but it makes us delusional and cynic, they makes our Hearts Die!

John understood the soul of the young people, he simply understood it and apply that is his movies. Our desires, fears, yearnings, insecuritys, his movies hade all the ingredients to address the problems and high points of being young. Most importantly he treated teens like the equals, they views and opinions matter and he didn't use them for granted, hell he putt them on the pedestal...
