  • Prof. Gussow - I'm 63 yrs. old and about 14 months into this Blues Harp Journey. I've gotten very good lessons/info from your website & taken advantage of some of your album offerings. Though I surely won't live long enough to really learn to play, I just wanted you to know that there are those of us who come back to the "Youtube" days again & again. Thanks for all you do and sincerest wishes for a wonderful 2011. Scott Thomas, a.k.a., "Surly-Mac"

  • @SurlyMac: Thanks, SM. Don't underestimate yourself. By the time you're 70, you'll be kicking a**.

  • I just got my first harp because of your video's :D I have a honers marine band in C and my 2 hole draw just makes air sucks noises no matter how soft or hard a suck. Any help?

  • @TheVinylDream: See the FAQs page at my website, Modern Blues Harmonica.

  • Hi, I got a easy question, when you say Two Hole Draw do you mean drawing from the hole no#2 or do you mean drawing from no#2 and #3 at the sametime? thanks.

  • @explik: 2 draw, or 2 hole draw, means drawing on the 2 hole. If I wanted you to draw on the 2 and 3 hole, I'd say the "two three draw," or "two-three double-stop."

  • This awesome talented guy has Jim Carrey's voice lol

Thanks for the lessons, I just bought my harmonicas yesterday (one in A and one in G), I'm 19 years old, I have been playing piano and guitar for quite the time and for now I just can't seem to hit the single notes on these "suzuki easy riders"... I really want to learn how to draw out a single clear note so that I can do some decent sounding improvisations...

  • absolutely loved it, i use a C,D, and F harp at the moment, it was interesting to see you using a splitter, and i shall be sure to buy a B flat harp, LOVE the Bending, it so much more intence

  • Hey guys. Can anyone give some advice? I play for about 2 months and have already ruined 3 harps! There´s allways a reed that goes flat. I have Seydel harps. Anyone got an idea?

    thanx!
