Im 17 and I havent seen game with better story and atmosphere.

@papalolita It's not their fault i think, it's because of the world we live nowadays, you see a lot things, yet you do nothing 'cause there's too much input going on. Im with ya on this, before i play something that draws you in, i tend to turn off my phone, and "exile" anyone on the house :D

This game and this entire setting take a lot of ideas from eastern and Indian religious and philosphical beliefs regarding existence and reincarnation. Look at Taoism, Buddhism and Shamanism for example. They have some of the same ideas.

@Welther47 Yes, I'm running it on Win 7 64-bit right now. You'll probably have directx problems when you cast spells but it will be playable...and well worth it. Try the windower program that shoudl get rid of the spell glitches.

these dudes made Fallout and Icewind dale.

@papalolita Yes, that's true. It explains why I encounter many immature idiots on Call of Duty...

@nevermind89pwnz It actually is, this is coming from a huge LoK fan.

Does it run on a Win 7 (64 bit)?

They should make - maybe even remake - more of these games.
I don't mind the text heavy game - it's like reading/playing a great book- as long the story is good and the text is in the middle. (NW had it up in the corner)
Torment is still the best.
call me an oldfag. but i play computer games since 1985 and THIS game has the best story i have ever encountered in a game, its not just a game this is ART

Yep, good old Black Isle Studios under Interplay Entertainment. Those were some great RPG's...
Today's developers could learn a thing or two... young whippersnappers.
