@fatfrank111 Yea, the company locked out the Hamilton plant but kept the Nanticoke plant open, which is about 40 minutes away. They have actually been locked out for more than a year now, all while U.S. Steel continues to produce and ship coke from the Hamilton plant to others. Today they are actually voting on a contract settlement, one that is about the same as initial purposed, but the workers will no longer be receiving money from our government so it seems as if they're poised to accept.

Did U.S. Steel buy the hamilton plant and another plant a few years ago? I didn't know you guys have been locked out. I work at the iron ore mine and pellet plant in Mt. Iron,MN we have been producing at capicity since the short slow down in 2009. Good luck brother!

That isn't how it works in Hamilton, ON. It consists of more corporate bullying and ripping off of lifetime employees for the sake of a buck. How long has the lockout been now, have we passed the year point?
