@Highvoltageism Yes it would! The same can be said for many professions. But it would be nice to be recognized every now and then. We are typically looked down upon as uneducated rogue criminals who never shower and wear lots of flannel. This is a very diverse profession with people from all races, ages, religions, educational backgrounds, etc. We are just trying to make an honest living like everyone else.

@crackparty You'll certainly never get rich driving a truck. But I do get full benefits and am paid a decent wage. Don't get into OTR trucking for the money. Get into it for the lifestyle. Driving a truck for a living is much more than a job. Trucking becomes your entire life.

Watched your videos with great interest just to see what life is like as a truck driver in the USA compered to here in the UK,I didn't realise how bad you are treated.Sitting around not earning is no way to run a business more penalties must be given to the shipper if a truck is held up for a period of time.With the economy the way it is at the moment you would think that companies would get things moving more quicker.Still we has drivers can always live in hope that one day this will happen.

Its kinda sad to realize that truckers wouldnt get payed for being stuck in the shippers yard when its the shippers fault. Truthfully if a trucker gets layed over because of a shippers fault then the shipper should pay the trucker per hour for however long they are layed over. Maybe that would get shippers to send truckers out faster and on time instead of making them late and costing the trucker money and nice video too!

@mineiscooler It doesn't have to do with boredom or finding things to do! It has to do with the fact that if your truck isn't moving you're not making money.
