In Kleenex Stadium Miyagi, trumpets are not allowed, so the ouendan rely on drums and voices to carry their cheering. As a result, there are a lot of songs that are only done in Sendai and nowhere else in the country. This is one of them.
大きな ホームラン
ookina homuran
あの山の 向こうまで
ano yama no mukou made
地球を ひとまわり
chikyuu wo hitomawari
大きな ホームラン
ookina homuran
(Meaning, loosely: "A big home run! That'll go all the way to the mountain over there! And then sail around the world! A big home run!")
This one is a lot of fun to sing.
Filmed Sept 5, 2009.
