I feel in love with Jamiroquai over twenty years ago, and actually thought JK was black! Was surprised to first see him with out a hat years later and was like "is my krush really white?" not that it mattered. Like me, JK is more GD beautiful now then ever, and we have grown up together, him being one week older than me. Thank you for theme music for every stage of my adult life, and for the soundtracks of my sons childhoods! God Bless for a life time of lifeline! Don't ever stop!

The first album was, in fact, acid jazz. The second one was jazz and soul. The third one was a mix of rock, jazz, and soul. And as albums progressed, so did the mix of their sounds. Sometimes they would incorporate reggae into it, and sometimes there was a more rock feel (RDLS) than others. But pop? I guess, especially when you couldn't identify what genre the song was. It's easy to call it Pop. Synch, AFO & Dynamite could be seen as Pop since they carried that emphasis.

that's because with the current lineup they just CAN'T do the old stuff (or at least not how it's meant to be). yeah, the grew up and they got tired of experimentation, since they have a fanbase big enough to make easy music and therefore make some easy money as well.

first records and live performances had a sound that was closer to acid jazz and funk, nowadays it's more pop oriented, being more simple, obvious and boring, sounds like maroon 5 or some crap like that, since stuart and toby's departure the musicianship has been turned down several notches. of course it's ok if you like this new direction, but it has lost what made them interesting and original in the first place, blending more or less with any alt pop act.
