No, the driving force of Evolution is Natural Selection. Darwin's Concept is actually considered a Fact by the way (99.8% of the scientific community accepts it). The focus point is you saying that evolution says something about life coming from non-living matter. That is NOT Evolution, that is Abiogenesis. Evolution explains nothing more than the diversity of life.

Of course it can't matter what we think or believe about it. Darwinian naturalism is not, strictly speaking oriented toward truth or what is true. It is oriented toward survival. Truth is what works. What people come to believe about evolution is irrelivant. Or conversely, as American Philosopher Richard Rorty says, Truth is "un-Darwinian."
