Art and Concept by The Oatmeal

About 7 months ago the guys over at epipheostudios.com saw the comic called "How Twilight Works" (http://theoatmeal.com/story/twilight) and we laughed our a** off. So we decided that we need to get a hold of the oatmeal. After convincing him that we had no problem meeting him in a public place a deal was struck and here you have it. Epipheo meets the oatmeal. Epiphameal!

And exactly what is your goal here?

She's obviously a young girl, and you just attacked her for expressing an opinion. Good job with basically belittling her as a female, which is kinda like ... well, what Twilight's storyline does. I don't see you trolling videos to call out all the guys who hate Twilight (which you should do since that's not unique AT ALL). Yet you don't ... why is that, sir?

Luminous, ignore this misogynistic retard. He knows not of what he speaks.

An author's ability to immerse you into a books world through a need for exploration(Omon Ra) or even a sense of self(The Stranger), that is true talent. To create a full living breathing world with characters that feel and read as if they were someone you could connect with, and not just a cheap projection, takes actual talent. Creating a false sense of empowerment through a pre-teen beauty fantasy with a character so bland that even a corpse would fit the bill, is borderline charlatanism.

How did I envision her wrong? I practically copied and pasted what you said and took off with it. The only difference is you think it isn't insulting to literature or even character development when you say it. But it is. What you're saying just proves that she's a bland, legobrick like character. The author gives her these descriptions that are very vague and probably apply to the majority of people in the world and dolts have the balls to call it Immersion. It's downright insulting.

Oh, Philip. You have envisioned her wrongly. She sounds just as a bitter woman in the book. She doesn't even think about having kids. She learned how to cook because neither her mother nor her father knew how to do it properly! She had to grow up faster than any other kid living with a child mother. I agree with you when you say she's clumsy, physically speaking. Everyone has different skills in life. She's not good at sport. Mentally, she's a strong mature girl. Read the books and you'll see.

Oh man I can envision her and her retarded clumsiness just through those bland details alone. "I can cook better than my dad! My kid can read people's thoughts so I have to be a mom! I'm only attracted undead blood suckers! I hope some immortal 100 year old preying on High Schoolers takes me away because even though I'm here to empower women, I still need a strong man in my life!"

Sounds like a real dame to kill for.

You guys didn't even read the whole book. FYI, Bella's character is full of details. She behaves just like a bitter 30 year old woman. She's a mature 18 year old teenager who took her mother's role because Renee was a little girl in a woman's body. . She knows how to cook better than her own father, feels attracted to Edward because he's a VAMPIRE, and vampires are designed to be perfect and call their prey attention, including breath, voice, scent, movement. Read the books first, please.
