Acclaimed monologist Mike Daisey is performing his four-part "Great Men of Genius" piece, and his controversial "How Theater Failed America" monologue at the 2010 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, at WaterTower Theatre in Addison, Texas (Dallas). In this first segment from an interview with TheaterJones.com, he talks about why he selected P.T. Barnum, Bertolt Brecht, Nikola Tesla and L. Ron Hubbard for "Great Men of Genius." He also discusses his use of adult language in his work.
I have a Tibetan friend who was raised in India but now lives in Beijing. He speaks fluent Hindi, Tibetan, Mandarin, and English as well as a smattering of other tongues, but only swears in English (often while speaking a different language).
