I like both seasons, but this one is definitely deeper and more heartbreaking T-T... it's the true story of the two :D
And the soundtrack is so great!

I really really hated Ef a tale of melodies. I really did. I watched it right after Clannad and it was a mistake. Now, couple of weeks later i really think Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two. is masterpiece. Although i prefer memories over melodies, I cried like a baby when Yuuko died. ;(

Both seasons are deep... but the second is darker, even more mature... but instead of this I preferred 'Memories'... maybe I've got more connected with the characters. But overall, the whole series is a masterpiece. Whoever doesn't watch it yet, must watch both seasons...

i just done the novel. hmmm the anime kinda messed up tale of melodies.
the novel is more realistic. and also it reveals alot more :).
