I think the Blue-ray is kind of a plus for Sony, because a duel layered DVD can hold 8.7 GB of space and a Blue-ray disc can hold around 30 GB (duel layered) of storage. Almost 4 times as much as a DVD can hold. So developers can make a longer and graphically better game.

@M4A1Skeleton Well, if Metal Gear Solid 4 was just on a normal disk, they wouldn't have 90 minute cutscenes. And that would have been a good thing.

@welcome159ify Improve the controller? Are you fucking kidding me? I've been using that controller since 1995, and I'll be damned if Sony suddenly changes it just because some Xbox kid likes his controller more. Also, Blue-ray is certainly not pointless. It means I get to play games like Final Fantasy XIII on one disc instead of three. I'd say that's a pretty big deal. More memory means better, longer games with more content. You know, pointless nonsense like that.

Great video man, I have all the current gen consoles (plus a window 7 Dell.) Your right, all platforms have there ups and peolpe just fight to the death about them. In all honesty I think that the Playstaion 1 is the best (Yes the Ps1) but don't get me wrong, I love all the consoles, Hell I even like PC gaming....sorta.

Another good anti-console war vid, thanks for making this.
I'm just going to buy all of the consoles soon and end this damn war for myself and make my own decision.

so true about the Blue-ray
the way I see it, this is kinda like the 8-bit era, the PS3 is today's Atari 7800, the 360 is todays SEGA Master System, and the Wii is today's NES, in my opinion.

yes but atari was never as diversified as sony, hence it collapsed when it couldnt hold its own again the competitors, and nintendo has much more innovative power than it did in the 1980s, but yes i agree, the Wii is a sign of much needed renewal by Nintendo while the ps3 was a completely transparent attempt to "pad" a system with electronic prowess.

"Commercial splash." So, you're proud that people tried to kill each other to get their hands on the few PS3 units available at launch. Interesting.
