Eilen Jewell recently stopped by the studios to talk about her new album "sea of tears", and while she was here, she gave us a great performance of "sweet rose".

Her best songs, like this one, are so timeless there's something uncanny about them.

@patekepete I agree 100%, pete. The band is understated to the max (brushes on the drums, quiet little guitar riffs in the background and solid, uncomplicated bass.) But, man. These cats can play!

Eilen Jewell is wonderful. This song may be in a slow tempo but it swings! One gentle criticism to WNKU who plays the fabulous bass fiddle? Who plays the wonderful jazz stylings on the drums, and who is that extraordinary guitar player on the Gretsch? More info on the clips please but very many thanks for presenting so many wonderful performers. Love ya but please credit all the musicians on the clips. They deserve it don`t they?
