    Glad to hear, thanks

  • Cornice cement is not plaster, put that in your dvd.

  • @zombiekiller09DF

Hi, cornice cement/adhesive, stopping plaster, base coat etc. are all forms of plaster

  • you don't use tape over the joint?

  • @roninseattle

No need to use paper tape. As I explained in all the videos, I "BACKBLOCK" all around to joints. This method strengthens the joint eliminating taping so I get a flush finish. When sanded & painted correctly you won't notice the repair. Please check out the web site and look at all the videos. You'll get the idea and tips on various plaster repairs. Use it as a plaster repair tip course.

Hi, thanks for your question. At times it's normal to see some mould around damp areas without ventilation over long periods. All of the repairs I carried out for sagging or water damaged ceilings with mould on the timber I simply scrub off the mould. I then use a screwdriver or similar tool and prod around the timber to see if any rot has set in. If timber can be picked out easily, rot has set in which could need replacing. Hope I've helped

  • I just discovered water marks on my ceiling on my home after being out of it for over a month. My concern is actually mold developing on the wood itself. I noticed you didn't really check for that in your videos. Is the wood usually mold-resistant?
