Joomla 1.5- Template Tutorial

Link to see the site module positions, (ex. www.yoursite.com/index.php?tp=1) just add the tp=1 after the index.php

This is a tutorial for Joomla users, that don't know how to change their site template or even know where it is located at in the admin side. I walk you through that, and also show a preview of my new free template, and also some of the features that I have with it! Enjoy, and hope this helps.

Hi Caleb.Can you tell me exactly how to upload a new template from my desktop?I got to where it says upload package/file but when I browse I don't know what I need to click on in the template folder I have set up in order to upload file.Thanks

@numberourdays Ok, you do have the template you want on your Desktop, correct? It isn't a single file, it is all of the template files, so make sure all the template files are in a folder, and zip that folder up. Examples of the files that should be in that template folder would be: index.php, css folder, templateDetails.xml, params.ini, and maybe a favicon.

@bajicdusko There is no easy way to do that, unless you know how the code for the template works, and are familiar with css files. Are you?
