I tried to make a more extensive comparision between the Les Paul & The SG.

I don't know what happend with the sound quality but it sounds crappier & more harsh than before.

The amp is a peavey classic 30 and it's exactly with the two guitars.

Guitar 1: Gibson Les Paul standard 04 with burstbucker #2 (bridge) and Burstbucker #1 (neck)

Guitar 2: Gibson SG 61 RI 03. Burstbucker #3 (bridge) and Burstbucker #2 (neck).

The LP is a little bassy though they sound pretty alike in the video.

Hope this helps!

  • Warren Haynes fan. Cool. Why did you do the pup swap to the SG?

  • Hey man, what would you say is the real difference that you are hearing between the 2....would appreciate your opinion....thanks....

  • "Mr. High & Mighty" sounds awesome played on anything! Good job with it.

  • the quality of the video is as the quality of bieber

  • @CompassRose87 in terms of demoing gear, generally playing slow licks where you can hear the notes ringing out into a lightly overdriven amp is better for demonstrating the subtleties of the guitar's tone.

  • I appreciate the comparison, but as a guitarist, I really need to ask... What's guitarists obsession with blues? Damn near every guitar video is either really crappy metal, or ridiculously overplayed blues.

Aside from my dislike of WHAT you played, I most definitely appreciate the comparison.

  • I take the SG for comfort own all of them. But, Every instrument eg; like an LP they all havef a distinct character of their own, You can play several LP's, SG's, ETC. Depends on you and the instrument, And, Your setup, Amp is very important I'd rather purchase a less expensive but quality guitar, And, Invest more on an Amp, pedals etc.

  • the sg was way better and all the people complaining in your comment section are just hating on the sg's cuz theyre biased
