@tigersoup GM's turbocharged 1.4 gets 40+ mpg. Of course that's relatively common when you compare it to most of the cars in Europe because their economy cars are generally diesel. You are entitled to your opinion on it's styling but it is not a " gas guzzler" by any means.

@42ph: Umm, they have already started building better motors. Their new direct injection line of engines and 6 speed gear boxes are slowly finding their way in everything.
