Joining Sir David to discuss the country and the region is Alejandro Toledo, the Peru's former persident between 2001 and 2006.




Toledo says that alleviating poverty is one of South America's greatest challenges but thinks the region can soon play a predominant role in the world economy.




He warns that Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez is a divisive figure and a source of instability in the region.

Interesante escuchar a Toledo hablando en ingles. Evidentemente su acento no es de un americano. Note que al final dijo "Thank you" con acento frances.. :)

Definitivamente convencido que debe dar unos anios mas a nuestro pais, y veo que es la mejor opcion entre la incomprension a los intelecturales muy capacitados como PPK, y la izquierda mas extrema como el Sr Humala.
