Go toward the light es la verdadera historia de Claire y Greg Madison (Linda Hamilton y Richard Thomas) y su lucha con el conocimiento que su hijo mayor, Ben, ha contraído el sida. This is the saddest film I have ever seen, I watched it when I was a kid and cried my eyes out. Those are two strong parents, I don't think I would have the strength to sit there while my child is dying. If I managed to I would never be the same again.

That's cool that you know them. I admire how the mother kept things in check, though I could imagine it was very difficult. It would be hard for me if my son was dying, but like the family, they have to be strong.

I don't think they could have found a better kid to play Ben what an outstanding performance man that film brings a tear to your eye I think this movie is fantastic.

I know this family very well, they attended my church and I used to babysit for them before Ben got sick. These parents are extraordinary people, I'm in awe at their strength and how well they endured such a trial. Everyone in my church prayed for their family and brought meals in for them for months, before and after Ben's passing. Ben was an incredible little boy, his parents and younger brothers adored him. His mom once told me, that they miss him but know they'll be with him again someday.
