He should focus more on how to sing the notes correctly than on how to hold a snake. His priorities are upside down. I'd never waste my time seeing him. Can't even watch this all the way through. Look at at SRV "Voodoo Chile" to see what a real artist does live. This is childish schlock. No talent, showy distraction. Bosh!

He wasn't drunk. This was after he got released from the hospital for his alcoholism and malnutrition. He was trying to find out how to play the character of Alice sober.

@clash352 No, he always used to go onstage drunk (pre-1978.) This was the reason Alice was nervous to perform sober, after rehab. He thought Alice was all part of the drunk act, of course he was wrong. Alice claims he never "drank alcohol" onstage, but I doubt that.
