Profiles in Vintage Racing: Keith Speir

Keith Speir grew up with a passion for motocross and desert racing, His dad wanted him to ride flat track, but Keith wasn't interested. Years later, in his late 40s, he was browsing through a Cycle Trader and spotted a Triumph 500cc flat-tracker. He drove over to the sellers house and bought it. The seller asked Keith if he was going to race at Ventura that weekend? "Ventura," Keith asked? Keith showed up at the track, raced, placed third, and caught the attention of Eddie Mulder. And this is where the story begins.
