Matthew and the Atlas play Come Out Of The Woods & The Waves live at The Borderline in London on Thursday 4 November 2010.

This sold-out headline show was the launch party for Matthew's new EP, 'Kingdom Of Your Own'.

Both songs featured in this video can be found on the EP, together with the beautiful title song, Kingdom Of Your Own, and the spirited , I Followed Fires.

Kingdom Of Your Own is available now on CD and download (Communion Records COMM006) and is probably the finest collection of Matthew's work to date. Highly recommended. If it was an album, it would be my album of the year!

Matthew and the Atlas recently supported Mumford and Sons on the UK leg of their Gentlemen of the Road 2010 tour, and won themselves many new fans along the way.

I would recommend checking out the band's YouTube channel, where you will find a film about the making of the Kingdom Of Your Own EP, the Mumford & Sons tour diary and the beautiful video for Within The Rose:

Pay them a visit and fall in love. It's time to meet your new favourite band!

  • I saw Mumford and Sons in Raleigh, and made sure to go early to support the opening acts. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this band. They are mindblowingly awesome. People ask me my favorite parts about going to see M&S, and, no lie, "The fact that I found out about Matthew and the Atlas" is always on my list.

  • Love this so......saw them last night with The Low Anthem and Mumford and Sons. Awesome, just awesome!

  • Always amazing to hear people talking in the background, like they haven't had a chance to talk the rest of the day they also have to talk during great music. Just dumb. M&A is awesome.

  • Checked M&tA out after seeing they were playing a show with Ben Howard. Very glad I am too. I love both of these tunes, they're bloody excellent.

  • I am also in love with one of the guys amazing moustaches.. He's not in this video, (Mr Frith).. Though he was there for some of the songs!

  • I was at this gig.. It was fantastic.. Matt and the band were exquisite!! :)

  • B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L-!-!-!

Matthew Hegarty, too much of a secret. What a unique and down to earth refreshing artist, musician, lyricist!

Boy do I like his music!

One EP after another, I wish he brings out a LP soooon!!!

Thanks for posting. Missed this one @ the great Borderline.
