  • Do you practice Dragon style at all?

  • @langying Yes. It is part of the TanDao system. Stay tuned for more on the dragon!

  • I'm decent at tiger kung fu. Do you have any pointers on how I can better my training?

  • @Warpath813 Focus on developing forearm, wrist, hand and finger strength. Without gripping power, punching is safer and more practical. To master tiger, your must eliminate all stylized motions that lack efficiency. To explore modern tiger fighting that combines Shaolin and JKD, check out our TanDao Tiger Claw video and Tiger Combat e-book. I demonstrate the training and core techniques in the video and explain the details strategy and tactics in the book. Good luck on your tiger.

  • I am currently taking JKD. I have watched many of your videos and I'm having trouble seeing where you integrated JKD theories of economy of motion. Can you perhaps share some of your expertise and shed some light on my stupidity?

  • @simonmafy Thanks for a thoughtful question. Perhaps you are trained to identify economy of motion in a standard JKD lead straight punch context. But you will discover simultaneous offensive/defensive techniques, constant forward pressure and efficiency behind my open hand, tiger, snake and crane, etc. techniques. Look again and see with new eyes. Please check out our site if you want to go deeper. Keep exploring!

  • "Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power" I like it!

  • @TigressofBalance You can certainly use many of the tiger forms for strengthening and power to help compliment any style. I have a tutorial on my page that shows some forms for strength and power, as well as a hung gar strengthening training with David Carradine which has some good stuff.

  • 2:05 MEGA EPIC TIGER STRIKE TO FACE!!!

  • I WANT TO LEARN TIGER KUNG FU!!! too bad the closest school to me teaches some hybrid form called Hung gar or "tigercrane" style.

  • @TigressofBalance No one style is perfect for anyone. The idea of martial practice is to practice many principles on the course of self-development.

Each 'form' or 'style' can be used for combat, just as each 'form' and 'style' is a practice of character, both internal and external.

Your height and weight mean nothing if you love what you do and you practice frequently.

If you want to practice tiger forms of kung fu, then do it, no-one has the right to stop you.

  • Brilliant work! Just as my father taught me.....

  • Cool tiger sound effects to compliment the movements!!!

  • Great and REAL master of the tiger claw no doubt !
