  • Narly dude! I like how u got it sideways going into 2nd gear. Man that M21 must be way underrated if it can take that abuse. I am put an EFI 540 in my 70 corvette, i didn't want to reuse the old 4 spd. I ended up buying a Richmond SS 5 spd. The shifting linkage on this trans is race quality stuff, i'll tell u that. Car ain't done yet, still have to do the fuel system and drop the body on the chassis. . R u running a hydraulic or solid roller cam? Motor seemed to rev pretty well, what gears u got

  • @ekitching Trust me, i didn't do a thing to get it sideways, its got a mind of its own. The M21 was rebuilt years ago with all the best parts and I'm quite proud of it for hanging in there! Doing a 5 or 6 speed swap in the near future. It's a solid roller but i've only had to check clearances twice in the last 5 years, it really sticks to proper specs. Running .342 but will change that out when i get a new trans. Good luck with your project!

  • @winter599

What size solid roller and is it a streetable in your opinion, the idle doesn't sound too radical in your other video. I put a boat hydraulic roller in my car for now (crane billet), it is fairly mild, adv 292/298, 600 lift. I don't know what it'll do. Dyno 2000 says 650 HP with EFI.

  • @ekitching The motor was built 5 or 6 years ago and i've long since stashed the spec sheets. The builder installed a 'boat billet' as well, along with the appropriate valve train. He said it will allow for far longer miles before needing adjustment. The cam isn't all that radical either, as i wanted a degree of streetability. And yes, it works well at all times, hot, cold, idle, WOT and mostly in between. The Holley ultra 900 carb isn't terribly happy at part throttle as it leans out a bit.

  • Sounds like this car runs better than that 540 Merlin guy's. Or, you are a better driver.

  • @stoker20 I won't get into a pissing match with another great car, but i will say mine is a handful when the tires start spinning at 50+mph. It's more a matter of luck that keeps the car pointing straight sometimes!

  • If I had a 540 powered Camaro I'd drive it that hard everyday! I guess I can only dream...

  • Dude, Sweet little monster you have there! I definately got the " OH YEA" from your video!

Take pride in knowing you would smoke half the cars on the street literally!!! Most mustang GT's with slicks could not catch you once you hit second gear smoking tires... With great Power Comes Great Responsibility! So More Videos are a must!!! Do not keep this power from the people....

  • TORQUE MONSTER - no one should be allowed to have that much fun w/o a permit.

  • 740hp at crank. Can isn't all that rough to be honest. I'd check the numbers for you but that info is burried somewhere in the garage.

  • What is are the HP? Is the cam very hot?
