  • That wasn't a review. It was goofing around.

Your vibrato tells you've played violin in the past.

  • @mrelwood that's damn right man...I played violin for a year and I started playing guitar after that for over 6~7 years until now, and that violin vibrato stayed with me and I can't get rid of it. I managed to make it more mellow and slow, but if you see some of my videos where I use vibrato, I still use wide-range violin vibrato.

  • @alsgh422 what amp?

  • @timmonsisbest It was some Ibanez amp that seemed to only want to give out a totally metal tone. I forget which model. I wouldn't buy it.

  • @alsgh422 I'm old school as far as vibrato -- Kossoff, Trower, Clapton, mixed in with some violin vibrato. And violin vibrato technique has been around for centuries. It's totally legit as far as I'm concerned.

  • @mrelwood Yeah it was goofin' around and I didn't know I was being recorded. The actual AT100 review can be found on my site in the URL I posted in the video description.

  • @Plocky241 You'd get a similar vibe to the AT100 if you got a strat-type guitar with a very light alder body. This particular guitar was really light and resonant. Also the neck felt almost like raw wood with a very light finish -- you could feel the hair in the grain. Ibanez released something very similar to the AT100 in their RGT series in the early 90s which would have been around the era Timmons first got his Ibanez endorsement. The RGTs were real cheap and value for money!

  • @satjathamma This one's alder and it's unusually light.

  • @Timmonsec That was goofin' around and I wasn't aware I was being recorded. The actual review of the AT100, specs, details, opininons can be found at the URL I posted on the description below the video.

  • @aneyekay1 Yes this was Bentley KL

  • @TheXinomaiden I've measured and compared specs between the two. IMO other than the shape the AT100 is Ibanez's version of a Fender Strat. Some slight differences (Alder over Ash, 12" radius where I think Fender is a bit less - 10" maybe), but the scale length, neck width & thickness, neck pocket, etc are very close to a Strat.

  • @Plocky241 I've built a Fender and a Warmoth clone of my AT100. Very close and about 1/2 price.
