Drums: Upper Left (Expert)
Guitar: Upper Right (Expert)
Bass: Lower Left (Expert)
Vocals: Lower Right (Beginner)

So I got the amazing GH:WOR demo. This song had an awesome beat to it and the drums (my main instrument) was fairly easy. The guitar also sounded pretty good. This gave me the idea to make a OMB (on man band) video of this song.

Sorry that the vocals are on beginner. I spent about 30 minutes playing the full song over and over and never got higher than a 6 note streak. Then I got sorta mad at easy. All the other instruments are on expert though.

Also, Sorry about the editing on this. I just took all of the charts and put them into a single screen. The audio is just from the drums run (upper left). There is a ton of black space in the video and I should have raised the output resolution to keep all of the individual videos original quality. I could have also trimmed some of the black space out. Also, my render settings for Sony Vegas are really bad. Even though my videos were on a shared network drive, it took about 2 hours just to render this video.

As always, let me know if you have any other suggestions for videos, or really anything at all. I will try to upload some sightreads of songs once I get the full version of GH:WOR. Keep an eye out for some of those videos!

  • I like how GH has all four backgrounds the same there. The reason the background is kept the same is so a singular video is kept for each song so they can focus more on character graphics, lighting and camera accustomed to the song and genre, and for song specific stage moves. Like in Beat it, the singer did a certain dance, and a TON of songs on band hero had specific moves (whip it, Kung fu fighting, YMCA). I think it's awesome.

  • @094176 Thanks for explaining. I never really pay attention to the background. This was my first time singing in months and usually the only time I even notice a background is when the lights flash like crazy, or the camera angle changes. I guess it would make a lot of sense to, for example, focus on the guitarist during a guitar solo.

  • @kylepolansky No prob, and yeah that's a big part of it. Although I love rock band there have a lot of times when The camera just didn't do justice to a solo on a certain instruments, so the fact that GH makes sure they get the attention they deserve during that section (break, solo, intro, difficult section) is refreshing
