NBA rising star and Taiwanese American Jeremy Lin, was on the New York Knicks website home page yesterday. In a recent game vs the Washington Wizards, the key player was not Carmelo Anthony, or Amare Stoudemire, or Tyson Chandler. It was Jeremy Lin who has gained overnight fame since his standout game vs the Nets on Saturday.

Lin joined the Golden State Warriors in 2010 where he largely rode the bench and was eventually let go. The Rockets also offered him a chance, but kicked him out at the opening of the season. He joined the Knicks as a bench player, and was even mistaken as a staffer. Afraid that he would get let go again, he didn't even rent his own place and stayed with his brother where he slept on the couch.

According to his mom, he was very down. Even the night before his big break, he slept on his teammates' couch. But Lin was not demoralized by the difficulties he faced and instead became stronger and fiercer, when chances came, he showed everyone how good he is, and gained instant fame.

The Warriors are now regretting letting him go, but insisted that their decision was based on salary concerns.

Oh, they'd never admit their mistakes, no wonder they are no good. The Knicks played the Wizards this morning, it was a tough battle between Jeremy Lin and John Wall.

Two years ago Lin outshone Wall in that summer's NBA D-league, which opened the door to the NBA. Wall was like his "lucky star" in a way. Two years later, fate has brought them together again, showing that basketball is like life.

The Knicks will have a home game with the Lakers this Saturday, ESPN will broadcast the game live at Taipei's Living Mall, where there will also be live shows and gift giveaways.

He is American. Yes, his parents are from Taiwan. However, he received his education in America, spent his childhood in America, was born in America, and thus, is American. Therefore, calling him Taiwanese is absolutely wrong, hence his true nationality. Hators gonna hate. End of story.

exactly man, anyone with a fascist government it is unacceptable to say stuff like that, unfortunately America was like that too, so saying "white pride" is socially unacceptable because of its same connotations with rape, murder, inequality, oppression etc. Taiwan is more like a state of China, Taiwan pride is like Cali Pride or New York pride if you were American.

You know in the Mongol Empire, race was considered irrelevant and was ruled more like a meritocracy.
