The Impact of Recovery Act funds on Marylands seniors. More than $1.5 million in Recovery Act funds administered by the Maryland Department of Agings nutrition program are being used to eliminate waiting lists for home-delivered meals, create new congregate meal sites in unserved communities, provide shelf stable meals for use during emergencies, and to create jobs for people who work in the meals program and in the businesses that supply food services.
