This is a short video to show you how to unstick your button machine. This is common for a new button maker to get stuck because of paint or paper/fabric debris.

  • While it is true that WD40 doesn't contain kerosene, it is also true that it is not a good long term lubricant. Don't get me wrong, WD40 is awesome stuff, and I use it all the time wherever appropriate, but it doesn't do everything, nor was it meant to.

  • WD-40 does not contain silicone, kerosene, water, wax, graphite, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), or any known cancer-causing agents.

I checked the WD-40 site. You can find all the great uses of WD-40 on their site too.

  • Do not use WD-40 for lubricant. It's mostly kerosene so it evaporates very quickly. It is not a good lubricant. Buy an oil that's actually meant for lubrication. Use motor oil if you have to, but sewing machine oil or gun oil are best for machines with close fitting parts.

  • Cool
