@chattemer Thanks....that is helpful Im going to go to radio shack and get a charger and pack combo right now! I almost purchased the 7inch haier... however the size and added weight on my rig was not appealing to me so I opted for the smaller lighter one... also it works great for my smaller run and gun handy rig, they are both standard deff so the viewing quality is the same. Thanks for the response!

@DSLRCARBON it is actually kind of heavy, which is why since this rig I have modified and re-designed the rails system. I will eventually upload a new video showing off my new DIY Rig. Subscribe to stay updated!

Question about how you are powering your monitor. With the 9.6v battery pack... I have a similar monitor that I just purchased for my t2i rig, I was thinking about using the same power source...however, how long does it power your monitor for being that it is a 12v monitor and a 9.6v battery? 8 double A's and it only powered my monitor for maybe an hour straight... not very long... how does yours last?

@212Photography Well my battery on this lasts about 2-3 hours and I have 3 extras. You can usually find those RC batteries for really cheap so if you have a few to use, you can switch them out when needed. I recently upgraded to the Haier 7-inch monitor. It is bigger and cheaper than the one shown here and the batteries last a bit longer!!
