Thank you for this very moving beautiful tribute. My Dad flew the P-47 with a different outfit, the 405th figuter squadron, 371st fighter group. I have been writing about them, and would love to link my latest post to this great video you have made. I think your video should be seen by as many people as possible. My amazing Dad recently died, and we miss him terribly. I wish we had another generation of these guys. Peggy O.

Thank you for creating this visual tribute, my Dad, 1st Lt. Jack T. Wheeler was in the 509 and appears at 5:02 as the music ends. My Dad passed away in 2002, he would have enjoyed see this. Thank you again.

Tom, thanks so much for the comment. I am in the process of putting together a mass of information on the 405th / 509th. I'm on the road for a bit without access to my computer.
