Was trying to describe go go to my 9yo son who was never heard it. I searched and searched youtube for something that would represent. None of them fit the bill. Then I came across this clip. Midway though, my son was bobbin' and rocking to the go go beat. THAT'S when you know it's real. You can't help but let the music move you.

@BigMoneyBags Thank you, BigMoneyBags. Even I get biased toward Latin players, but we should stop that because Gogo congueros have reinvented a new style of playing, and it stands on its own. I loove Gogo, and the techniques are intuitive and came of their own accord. So, as someone who plays congas and is part Cuban, I pay tremendous respect to all of the Gogo congueros, and on top of that they have so much soul. My apologies for being biased at one point. Gogo liveS!!!!!

I hold latin conga players high but i dont like alot of yall because you think your style and the way you play is the way every one is suppose to play...WRONG. this is the only african-america congo rythm known in the united states...lasted and evolved for 40 years.
