  • u should have separated them sooner.. if u wouldve twisted them to sections they wouldve probably looked alot more like dreads over time.. personally i think it looks kinda gross when straight hair is neglect like that.. afro hair is soo consistent the strands make one mass .. if had curly hair it wouldve prolly sectioned itsef.. idk if u could call that locks.. maybe a lock..

  • @kratiotic I know, and I tried to separate them in the beginning without luck. From the start they were naturally separated, but then they wanted to become one, just as the title of the video says. Yes, take another look at the title. Dreadlock in singular, thus one. That's why I called it "dreadlock" instead of "dreadlocks".

  • im confused. they were separated a lot better in your last video..?

  • @gorideboards They were but I cut and combed them out for this video.

  • @Sumfera oh ya i realized that. i just thought you would have kept them since they weren't one big dreads anymore

  • @gorideboards I would have if I didn't find build-ups as well as them slowly shedding more than the furriest dog ever. Waking up in the middle of the night with hair all over isn't pleasant. Had to go.

  • @Sumfera oopps..

  • Thank you. I enjoyed watching your journey too but I can't recall any mention of your dreads being parted from you. Maybe I'm just tired and can't remember.

It sure takes a long time to comb out right?

Yeah, maybe one day when I'm retired and have the time to focus on my hair that much. One thing is for sure - no more unidread! :P 1-2h to wash, 1h to blowdry(sometimes more).

    Peace.

  • i enjoyed watching your journey, sumfera. i too had to part with my locks...very sad. i still have a few left mixed in with my regular hair, but am combing those out as well. hopefully one day we can embark on the path again. :) peace.

  • lol, nice one and I understand what you mean.
