when you've been affiliated with the PC/media community as long as I have...can you say "pre-release beta"? It's my (and many others like me) job to take the final pre-release beta and "break it" so the Adobe team can apply final fixes before it ships. It's still got a few bugs, but most only cause background errors that you'll never be aware of. You're gonna love it.

just a soft red/green fractal noise (animated&masked) used as a displacement map for the logo-layer

I just upgraded my vid card to an ATI X1300 and got Adobe After Effects Pro CS3. Which plugin(s) did you use? I did mine in Sony Vegas with Particle Illusion 3 overlays. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.
