I had forgotten how bad it could be back then. But now it's just INSANE! I can't open a fucking thing with tools now. Bag 'o shredded cheese, get a pair of scissors. Rice pilaf seasoning packet, same deal. Jar of tomato sauce, get a hammer, some hot water and bang it on the counter 57 times. GAH!!!!

This wasn't much of an exageration. Even 35+ years later, many products can be a beggar to open. Thank goodness they don't make us pull the red string on a Band-Aid anymore. If your aim was off, all you'd get was the string--and perhaps some blood on the wrapper. :-/
