my SBT, aussie shep, american bulldog mix stalks other dogs like that at the dog park. its hilarious since he thinks nobody can see a huge white and brindle idiot in the middle of the grass!

My Austrailian Shepard puppy is doing this to my smaller dog and pouncing on her she is getting very annoyed by him

That is not how you train a dog to be steady. That is what you call "sight pointing" and "creeping". Those are terrible habits for such an old dog that will be nearly impossible to break.

How is that training your dog to be steady on point? He is creeping, you pop the bird, you're teaching horrible habits.

@noiwcm He first came on point and then the quarry, Bobwhite Quail were moving and he slowly followed to go back on point.
