Robin Storey, the brainchild behind :Zoviet*France: started recording as Rapoon after leaving the group, he has developed a unique sound that gives new meaning to the fusion of Indian and western music. Storey found a magic balance between percussion and electronics, mixing exuberant indian dance music and languid galactic drones into the crescendo of a majestic ultrasonic wave. What transpires is also a genuine interest in sculpting sound, distorting ritual music to attain not only a transcendent state, but also an alteration of mind.
