@HipHopJun Actually, read their Pokedex entries. The parasite does in fact kill Paras and takes over the body.

@Myzou77 It's more of a mutualistic relationship though if you think about it. Paras/Parasect gets their power from the mushroom.

The sad fact about this episode? Paras didn't want to evolve. If you read pokedex entries you know why. Paras controls the parasitic mushrooms on it's back... when it evolves, the mushroom takes over, completely removing the thoughts of the paras.
