This video shows a 2.2k resistor, but the instructions I received indicate a 10k resistor, which will not work. Thanks to another resource, I discovered the fix before getting too frustrated. I have to manually spin-start the motor, though. Sometimes it spins on its own, sometimes not.
@passijsurkit Alongside the wires which don't connect with anything (at lines 16 and 22). I think the big white box is supposed to be a drawing of a motor.
@altgeeky1 You've probably figured it out by now, but it does not matter which way the motor is connected. Black is the negative wire (minus sign) and red is the positive wire (plus sign) and the way the current flows through these two controls which direction the motor spins.
@freddotu Thank you, this was starting to frustrate me to no end!

it doesn't say which spaces to put the motor leads in... can anyone give me where it goes? THANK YOU

where can you plug in the motor? on the layout sheet it doesn't show it and from the video it isn't clear.

Does it matter which way the motor is connected? The guide does not say..
My kit's motor has orange and white colored leads, and the motor terminals are not labeled. Not sure which one is "red" or "black"... :-(

@inciteman yes

Shouldn't it use a Freewheel Diode with that Motor (Inductive Load) ??
