I always viewed people of the past as kind of simplistic, but now i see that they were just the same as us. They thought the same as us, had the same worries and concerns and the same sense of humour too, and they probably cussed as much as i do when they were off camera. I love the way Johnny is trying to get a rise out of the stoney faced Luther Perkins at the beginning of this song in what is obviously a long running duel between the two. and how johnny plays the crowd throughout.
