  • never understood why people disgrace themselves and rip off the artist by making crappy bootleg recordings when the venue clearly states no video recording allowed. show some true support for the artist and purchase the DVD set.

  • Concerning the douchebags who wave their cameras around like glow sticks while filming are in fact if I may agree with you a distraction to the others who are trying to watch the show and who have also spent a handsome nickel for their seat. This very thought was on the forefront of my mind since the others sitting around me didnt seem like individuals who would welcome the idea of someone pressing play and stop every other song (in a manner of speaking) This wasnt a scenerio I wanted to create

  • Instead of being the douchebag of distractions I opted to cover my camera during each song with my wool fishermans cap a nontransparent article of clothing and also impossible for that irritable glow to permeate through. And each song I filmed no glow was to be seen. This is the very reason for the crappiness of the footage. The shakiness is very apparent since I was holding the camera to my chest w/o any visibility of the stage while filming and not held high in the air aimed squarely at Mr Cohen

  • my friend, i'll miss you, but won't film our goodbyes :)

  • Eh, laws. If it was illegal to not jump off a bridge would you not do it? Or something? *cough* Well, yeah, I paid.. Well, not 165, but close enough. Just ask kindly for them to move the camera; I have seen plenty of people bring their own to a concert, and it's never been a problem for me or anyone else I've gone with. To be honest, there's a lot more annoying at concerts than someone with a recorder jutting ten inches in front of their face.

  • For starters it's illegal.

Secondly, it impacts the enjoyment of those around them. Ever paid 165 bucks to sit behind an idiot holding up a cell phone right in front of your line of vision the whole night?

There is a reason the tickets say it's not allowed. Other concert goers have more of a right to enjoy the concert they paid good money for than this guy has to illegally record the performance.

And the London show was practically the same show. Stage looks pretty much identical.

  • I agree that no one should make "crappy bootleg recordings" when the artist is trying to sell DVD sets for his or her performance.

But there's no DVD for this. Maybe you're thinking of Live in London; but this is in Seattle. I am very happy that people make 'crappy bootleg recordings' of concerts that the artist doesn't intend to sell past the initial tickets, because it gives people the chance to relive the moments they spent with Mr. Cohen, or see him perform thousands of miles away.
